Notes on Bayesian Segregation Analysis

Abstract

With the possibility to apply segregation analysis now in a Bayesian/MCMC framework, the use of this model and methodology has a small revival. The model, however, is technically complicated, data structures are not always informative, and when performed in a Bayesian/MCMC framework additional technical issues arise. These notes discuss various issues in the application of Bayesian segregation analysis. Reference is made to the iBay software which implements this type of Bayesian segregation analysis.
