Abstract
Five questions which involve strange attractors in one way or another are discussed. These are: the choice of probability measures to describe turbulence, the Hausdorff dimension of Julia sets for rational maps of the Riemann sphere, the existence of nonperiodic “turbulent” crystal structure, the mechanism generating intermittency in developed hydrodynamic turbulence, the distribution of characteristic exponents in a turbulent fluid.
