Abstract

Whole genome genotyping (WGG) on high-density BeadChips provides an effective platform for conducting high-resolution scans for chromosomal aberrations. High-density SNP genotyping technology allows the simultaneous measurement of both DNA copy number and allelic ratios in both tumour and constitutional samples. In the field of cancer biology, both types of information are crucial to understanding the initiation and progression of tumour growth.
