A note on how many humans that have ever lived

Abstract

Using a basis of 8 key dates in the history of Homo sapiens, and assuming exponential growth between them, the author calculates that 50 billion people have been born between human origin 300 thousand years ago and the present (1980). Equations for obtaining a rough population estimate for any date in human history are provided. (author's)
